The room met or exceeded our expectations. The view from our balcony was great. In the evening we sat out on the balcony with chocolates and a glass of wine and watched the river traffic till well after dark. The river walk was right out back. Patio with restaurant and bar outside were excellent.

It's walkable; there's public transportation but I didn't need it for my destinations.
There are TONS of thing to do including many things that have nothing to do with railroads or the Civil War. I came in the 70's and that was all I remember; there are fabulous art museums and other cool things to do.
If this is you, be sure to try these. OF course there are the big places everyone knows, but these are also fantastic.

Duck Boats. Great for your first thing, as it drives around town a bit then in the water; lots of history and local color. ALL children on my boat got a chance to steer!

Tow Truck Museum (really!)

Great city for families.
Great city for families. Lots of activities for the kids, we did the incline and a baseball game. But there is also a zoo, museums, and an amusement park close by. The big park with the carousel and fountain is fun, there’s also a pedestrian bridge where live street performers will set up and you can walk across the bridge from one side of the river to the other. There is a lot of history here. Wish we had more time to go to Ruby Falls. Lots of restaurant options.

Really enjoyed Rock City, will visit again.
Really enjoyed Rock City, will visit again. Dining options are very average. Interstate traffic was fairly busy and can be confusing. One or two days is plenty of time to see everything. Downtown parking is limited and you have to pay.

I booked a four-night stay from April 11th to 15th through booking, and then extended it to one night. I kept booking and it was stated that the original stay was for one night, so the total would be five nights. As a result, your hotel paid me more money. Why can I be charged repeatedly for one night? I hope this charge will be refunded.

We were there 3 days and loved it.
We were there 3 days and loved it. We went on the Thursday - Saturday of spring break. We had to pre-purchase all our events because it was busy. Our favorite thing was renting electric scooters & touring downtown. We also went to the incline railway, an escape room on a train car, rode an actual train & visited Naughty Cat Cafe. There you can enjoy a coffee while you pet cats up for adoption. Plenty of great places to eat, although we stuck to the chain restaurants. We didn't have enough time in our trip to see all the great attractions available. The only downside was traffic. I-24 & I-75 were busy, but anyone from Atlanta will not see it as a problem.
Staff very uncaring
Had issues with card after long day if traveling. Staff unhelpful. Bing a hotel associate also, offered ways to accommodate me and hotel.
However, staff not interested in assisting me and after long day of traveling , I was turned away and gad to find other accommodations. Still charged me $100 and still have not been able to get.a refund. Was my first time with sonesta but Never again will I stay there.
Wife and I stayed here overnight while passing through TN on our way home from vacation. Bed was very comfortable and room was clean. Overall met expectations based on the price and location. Needs some updates but the comfort level of the bed was superior compared to other budget hotels in the same area I’ve stayed at previously. Will stay here again the next time we pass through Chattanooga.
We absolutely loved the Read House! The staff were fabulous, the room was sumptuous and silent (we opted to upgrade), the bartender superb, and we loved the location. We'd never been to Chattanooga and intended to only stay a single night, but the Read House was so fantastic, we opted to stay an extra night. It was also great value given the level of luxury, space, and service.
Everything! Perfection at it's best :) Loved the mountain views and that the hotel was just 2 mins from retail district with restaurants, shopping, etc. Just a short drive to downtown Chattanooga! Clean Room, Polite and Helpful Staff, Pool open and till 10pm & hot breakfast was yummy and well stocked, Patio with Views of Mountains!
I like the location, I could walk to the main attractions in Chattanooga and coffee shops. The hotel has an interesting history. The lobby feels like you are part of an Agatha Christie's novel. It has valet parking which is convenient but you have to pay. The rates are in line with parking lots near by.
Beautifully presented hotel. Amazing hidden speakeasy bar in the hotel too! What a find. Great location, clean and comfortable rooms - loved the decor. Also very quiet rooms!! Had the best night’s sleep of my entire 2 week trip in the States.
This is a very nice hotel with a great staff. Stayed two nights here on our road trip to check out Chattanooga a bit. What a beautiful city, and this was a convenient place to stay to get around. Nice staff and safe area.
The room was clean and had everything we needed for our week long stay. The staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. We will absolutely stay here any time we visit Chattanooga in the future.
Very affordable. Cheap compared to surrounding hotels. Definitely best bang for your buck. Beds were very comfortable. Connected to one of the best diners in Chattanooga. Definitely will be back
Everything was clean! Food was delicious! Staff was wonderful! The best view in Chattanooga! Valet parking - trustworthy and timely! Loved this hotel! I'm going back! :)
The Property was only 15 minutes from everything. It was right on the outskirts of Chattanooga so it wasn’t every busy around the hotel which was really nice.
